The Violet Richardson Award recognizes a young women attending high school who makes the community and world a better place through volunteer efforts such as fighting drugs, crime and violence; cleaning up the environment; and working to end discrimination and poverty. Volunteer actions that benefit women or girls are of particular interest. The Award includes $250 for the recipient and $250 for the non-profit of her choice. Soroptimist offers the Live Your Dream Award for women who provide primary financial support for her dependents, has financial need, is working to improve her life by being enrolled or accepted to vocational school/training program or undergraduate program. Additional information about the grant may be found at Live Your Dream.

Annual Ladies Spring Tea and Auction
Each year our club hosts over 250 community member at our Annual Ladies Spring Tea and Auction. This is our largest fundraising event and our opportunity to hand out our educational awards and scholarships to carefully selected ladies in our community. Since the inception of our Spring Tea in 2008, we have donated over $120,000 back to our local community to help women and girls in need.
This year our tea will be held on Sunday, May 15, 1:00pm, at the CH2M Hill Alumni Center at Oregon State University.
