The Violet Richardson Award recognizes a young women between the ages of 14-17 who makes the community and world a better place through volunteer efforts such as fighting drugs, crime and violence; cleaning up the environment; and working to end discrimination and poverty. Volunteer actions that benefit women or girls are of particular interest. The Award includes $250 for the recipient and $250 for the non-profit of her choice. This award recognizes a woman living in Benton County who is improving the lives of women or girls through her professional or personal life. The Award includes $1,000 to be donated to a charity of her choosing that supports women and girls. She will also be invited to speak at the Spring Tea, May 15, 2016. Annual Ladies Spring Tea and Auction
Each year our club hosts over 250 community member at our Annual Ladies Spring Tea and Auction. This is our largest fundraising event and our opportunity to hand out our educational awards and scholarships to carefully selected ladies in our community. Since the inception of our Spring Tea in 2008, we have donated over $120,000 back to our local community to help women and girls in need.
This year our tea will be held on Sunday, May 15, 1:00pm, at the CH2M Hill Alumni Center at Oregon State University.
